In a small saucepan or in the microwave oven, warm the milk, molasses, sugar and butter, stirring frequently. Do not boil. Cool and add to dry ingredients. Stir until blended, but do not over stir. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
Add berries and mix until well-coated. In a small bowl, beat eggs well and add melted butter and milk. Quickly stir liquid mixture into dry mix. Stir just until blended. Fill muffin cups 3⁄4 full. Sprinkle a 1⁄2 teaspoon of cinnamon sugar on top of each muffin. Bake for 20 minutes or until brown. Yield: 12–14 muffins.
